The Second Chance Program is part of Joii’s vision to provide hope & opportunity to the long-term-unemployed, youth-at-risk, released prisoners and other disadvantaged by providing training & employment opportunities to create long-term sustainable change to help them break free from the cycle of welfare dependence & poverty.
The program is centred around providing a paid, ‘work like’ experience while teaching them ‘typical’ workplace expectations. Those expectations will be technical (tool use, safety, paperwork etc) and value-based with a strong emphasis on helping participants master the 3C’s of Consistency, Communication & Compliance which will ensure that on completion of the program every successful graduate are equipped with the necessary skills needed to make a successful transition into full-time employment.
