Wall & Floor Tiler – New Residential Builds

The opportunity

Joii Tiling has high demand for residential wall and floor tilers for new residential builds. We have a range of positions and allow a staff member to focus on all or a selection of the above areas.

What’s in it for you?

• $70,000 – $90,000 (Wage + Super + Overtime + Incentives) plus $10,000 relocation support including loan vehicles, travel, rent plus $2,500 loan to purchase tools. All the support to get you relocated and up and running in our team. The $10,000 will transfer to build bonuses after 12 months increasing package to $80,000 – $100,000 (Wage + Super + Overtime + Incentives);

Essential skills needed

• Preparing floors and other substrate to correct levels and falls;
• Able to demonstrate correct waterproofing and preparation skills;
• Examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work;
• Preparing wall and floor surfaces by filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces;
• Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position;
• Using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes;
• Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced;
• Grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout;
• Waterproofing experience a bonus.
• Construction OHS card (white card) (we will help you obtain this);
• Own reliable transport (we will provide short term support);
• Drivers licence.

Locations

Queensland – Australia: from the Sunshine Coast down to the Gold Coast as well as the inland city of Toowoomba (cheaper living with great schools and community).
