Due to a long, strong and ongoing pipeline of work we are ungently seeking enthusiastic and motivated applicants for the positions of qualified Bricklayer within our Queensland (around Brisbane) Bricklaying team who will be required to work on a wide range of residential projects.
Essential skills needed:
- Trade qualifications in Bricklaying is a must;
- Expertise knowledge of current bricklaying requirements;
- Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and plans;
- Hold all industry required tickets and tools;
- Construction OHS card (white card) (we will help you obtain this);
- Supply & maintain own commercial grade tools, noting a tool maintenance allowance is included in the salary package)
- Provide own vehicle to get themselves and their tools to site.
- Maintain current driver’s license;

Additional Information:
The role includes: laying bricks, pre-cut stones and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches and other structures.Tasks include:
- studying plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
- erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding
- sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials and spreading layers of mortar to serve as base and
- binder for blocks using trowels
- laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints
- embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar
- checking vertical and horizontal alignment
- cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit
- irregular spaces
- repairing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks and related structures
